Where neither Seraphim nor raindrops go...
Dwarf (Delver, True Dwarf) Dwarves are the firstborn of races, statues carved by the T’tan in their own image and given life by the lone god. Dependable, tough, gruff, and strong as bedrock, Dwarves are able to take as much punishment as they dish out. Dwarves average 4½ feet in height and are very broad, weighing as much as an adult human. Dwarves have the same variety of coloration as humans, although dwarf skin is sometimes gray or sandstone red and eyes may seem as stones. Male dwarves are often bald or mohawked and braid their long beards into elaborate patterns. Female dwarves braid their hair to show clan and ancestry. Dwarves are master craftsmen, and their attire and equipment , are decorated with bold geometric shapes, natural gems, and ancestral faces. They’re best associated with either the Defender role (Fighter, Paladin), the Leader role (Cleric, Warlord), or conjuring their powers from the primal world (Wardens, Barbarians). I play dwarves with an Yiddish/Jewish accent.
• The Azer (Infernal Dwarves) and Duergar (Sepulchral Dwarves) also exist, dark results of hellish or dismal underdark (respectively) Dwarven bloodlines. Azer have hair and beards of flame and skin like cinders, while Duergar have pale deathly stony skin, lifeless white eyes, and spiky hair. Neither is currently available as a character class.
